World of Snooker
World of Snooker
World of Snooker allows you to stage matches between the sixteen All-Time-Greats we provide with Ratings, or current players who are World-ranked. We provide a Ranking to Ratings Chart you can use in conjunction with the World Rankings which can be found at https://wst.tv/rankings/world-rankings-2/.
The simulation uses just three basic Player Ratings, Potting (0 (worst) to +2 (best), Cue Ball Control (CBC) (C (worst), B and A (best) ) and Break Building (BB), which can be any number from 20 to 70, the lower the better. A frame is played out shot-by-shot but the result of that frame can then be used to determine the score in frames for any session (from 3 to 10 frames) if you don't wish to play each frame in that way. See Rule (10).
The simulation presumes that users know the basic rules of snooker and the scoring system and the need to pot a red ball then a colour, etc. to prolong a break, and when all reds have been potted the order the colours need to be potted, i.e. yellow. green, brown, blue, pink and black.
The maximum possible break is 147 although in play-testing of the three century breaks achieved the highest was 124.
